The Power of Wallpaper

Wallpaper walks a fine line – too much and you’ve created a monster, not enough and you’re left wanting more. My goal when recommending it for a client’s home is to achieve maximum impact with minimum usage. Clients are either terrified of it, having been scarred by the weird retro patterns of their childhood, or they’re voracious over-consumers, desperate to use it in every room of their house. No matter where they start, they usually end up in the blissful place of using just the right wallpaper in just the right space; be it a graphic show-stopper, like the Kelly Wearstler pattern above, or a textural wallflower, like the Phillip Jeffries paper below, wallpapered rooms are always my client’s favorites.
