Designing a Bathroom

A well-designed bathroom is a must in every home. Choosing the right fixtures, paint, and lighting is key to creating a coordinated space. Below we pull a few of our favorite 2to5 Designed bathrooms and share our thoughts on how you can achieve a similar look.

Arabesque Tiles / Vintage Sconces / Shaded White

A neutral palette that combines earthy concrete tiles with bleached oak and painted cabinets for a perfect balance of traditional yet sophisticated design. His and her sinks showcase beautifully in this custom vanity with a white honed marble countertop. Custom built-in cabinetry provides ample storage and keeps the space clutter free. We had fun with the white and black arabesque floor tiles from Popham Tiles, adding a hint of whimsy to the room!

Steel Edged Mirror / White Subway Wall Tile / Ceramic Floor Tile

Cover the walls with simple subway tiles and add a graphic pop of color on the floor and you can create a clean and simple modern bath. Anything but sterile, this fun room uses space saving floating cabinetry in warm walnut for practical storage and a round mirror in bright orange to add a pop of personality.

Kendall Charcoal / Rustic Sink / Grasscloth Wall Covering

Allow your powder room to make a bold statement when guests walk in. In this client’s space, we combined a dark palette with a rustic vanity and refined textiles to set a moody tone. The Phillip Jeffries grasscloth and painted molding creates a tone-on-tone statement and the beautiful window treatments complete the look.

Bathrooms are an easy place to explore your design creativity. Go bold, be modern, or stay traditional – any way you choose, your space can be beautiful.
