The Fearless Client
I love a client that enters the relationship with no fear, no preconceived ideas about what their home should look like. They aren’t on Pinterest or Houzz, they don’t read design blogs or shelter magazines. Instead, they follow their gut and create spaces that are uniquely and undeniably them. My last truly fearless clients had spent time in England and had a love affair with Osborne and Little and all things colorful. We recovered well-worn upholstery pieces and combined wonderful patterns and textures. We recycled furniture and purchased only what was necessary. We re-hung art in a way that told an entirely different story. And in the end, we created a home that was deeply personal and highly unique.
