Master Bedroom Bliss

Every master bedroom space we design is as unique as the couple inhabiting it. Some are traditional and tailored, others bohemian and eclectic; some dark and brooding, others soft and serene.

But whatever the style, it must, above all else, be functional and comfortable. Function is a matter of personal preference and we work hard to understand the specific desires of each client. Do they like upholstered vs. hard beds; blackout vs. privacy blinds; table lamps vs. reading sconces; carpet vs. hardwood? Every client makes a different choice and everyone has a strong opinion about why they like what they like. Sleep is personal.

In the case of our Judson project above, we chose a soothing palette and practical furniture that together create a timeless space. The bed is the Colette from Crate and Barrel that we recovered in a Pindler and Pindler charcoal linen. The bedside table is a custom piece made with laquer, antique glass and walnut, its slim frame providing just enough space for bedtime essentials. The lamp is from Crate and Barrel and the clock from CB2. The beautiful roman shade made with a Kerry Joyce fabric is lined for privacy. The somewhat monochromatic palette is fresh and comforting. It’s a beautiful room that suits our client’s taste and style perfectly.
