A Few Good Baskets

I have a thing for woven baskets. You can spot them in at least one room of every house I design and style. They lend the perfect touch of earthiness, warmth and practicality to a space. Whether I buy them on the cheap or as a splurge, oversized or undersized, braided or tightly woven, they always work. I use them next to a fireplace to store wood; beside a sofa to hold extra blankets and pillows; tabletop to organize mail and magazines; and on top of cabinets to create height. Cost Plus is one of my favorite resources for affordable baskets but I’m a sucker for the Kenyan Baskets from Jayson Home and Garden and the Beachcomber from Pottery Barn is a must.
